Is this wrong?
Howdy, friends. That’s a question I have been asking myself lately. Not about the obvious things (Is it wrong to sign up for a race on crap training? Yes. Is it wrong to keep my coworker’s compression socks for all … Continue reading

Parenting: When your son learns to ride a bike
Howdy, friends. Here is my column for this week’s paper: My son learned to ride a two-wheel bike this past week. Without training wheels. On the third trip down the driveway. He’s 4.5 years old. I don’t remember exactly how … Continue reading

Howdy, friends. So, Viv is 2. She really didn’t talk much until she was about 15 months old, and then it was like nonstop full sentences. She has a TON of personality. And she is really bossy. (I don’t know … Continue reading

Fartmouth. Fart. Mouth. That is what Jack called me the other day. “Jack! That is a naughty word, and we don’t say that!” It’s also very … descriptive. And creative. And funny. I had to turn away because I was … Continue reading

Howdy, friends. This is what I’m starting next: Here is a NYTimes review. And here is an NPR review. I don’t know anything about Ben Marcus, but reading the reviews of this book and his other works makes him sound … Continue reading
