Currently reading: “Tapestry of Fortunes” by Elizabeth Berg

Howdy, friends.

This is what I’m reading now:

Here is the author’s web site.

And a review here and here.

I’m about halfway through. It’s a fast, easy read. Sometimes it’s nice to just have a book to breeze through that doesn’t require much thinking. There’s something to be said for pure entertainment, and that’s what this is. A little hokey and cheesy, but it also sucks you in.

In other news, I finally put myself on the library waiting list for Donna Tartt‘s latest book. God, I love her. I wish she were a little more prolific. But maybe I love her because she isn’t, so when she has a new book it’s so delicious. I was working in a bookstore when I read her first book, “The Secret History.” I immediately bought it for my sister, who also devoured it.

Ugh. I’m No. 30 on the waiting list at the library. Hurry up and read, friends!

Happy reading.
